The International Sleep Paralysis Initiative is the only global program that unites scientific research, personal testimony, cultural analysis, and public health communication to address sleep paralysis at scale.

The International Sleep Paralysis Initiative is a global research and public education project focused on understanding sleep paralysis at scale. We bring together researchers, clinicians, journalists, educators, and individuals with lived experience to build a shared evidence base. The initiative treats sleep paralysis as both a neurological event and a public health issue that deserves serious attention.

Our work includes global data collection, ethical documentation of personal experiences, academic collaboration, and public education. We aim to establish standardized definitions, improve visibility within health systems, and encourage institutions to invest in research and prevention strategies. This initiative is noncommercial, evidence driven, and guided by scientific integrity.
